Comments

The resolution of 7 June 1905 No. 4, which modified the Royal Ordinance of 14 February 1889, was necessitated by the the Storting decision of 7 June 1905 where the union betwen Norway and Sweden was dissolved as the constitutional royal power had ceased to function. The Michelsen Government was authorized to exercise the authority vested in the King until further notice.

Following the Karlstad treaty of 26 October 1905 and the election of the Danish Prince Carl as new King of Norway, the Ordinance of 14 Feb 1889 was on 21 November 1905 modified to include the royal family in the common Church Prayer.
